Hi, I’m Saniyyah
I am a natural hairstylist specializing in the care and love of curly, kinky, and wavy textures. A Los Angeles native, my journey to become a licensed cosmetologist began at the AVEDA Institute in New York City in 2014. It was there that I sharpened my techniques and learned how to craft personalized and easy-to-maintain styles for each client.
Since then, I have been trained and certified by Mahogany Hair Revolution Natural Hair Academy by Dr. Kari Williams and am a certified DK Goddess Loc Master. To expand my services and holistically support my clients, I became certified through BEAM’s Black Mental Health & Healing Justice Peer Support program in 2021. In that same year, I completed the PyschoHairapy certification program so that I can offer mental health first aid through hair or the hair care setting.
I have styled for Ava Duvernay, Ms. Dianne Reeves, Zuri Adele, Tyler the Creator, Chloe x Halle, and Oscar winner, Matthew Cherry. Further, I have served as an educator and brand advocate for Carol's Daughter, Shea Moisture, and Madam CJ Walker beauty brands.

From the initial consultation to the finished styling process, I will discuss the importance of natural hair health and share tools and techniques to equip you to properly care for your hair between visits. Our time with one another is sacred and it is my intention to cultivate an environment where you feel welcomed, considered, and cared for. Beyond the service, I understand that the connection between stylist and client is built upon trust and mutual respect. Therefore, I hope that you will have an experience that is undeniably positive and leaves you feeling good both inside and out. My services are provided in a private salon suite in Culver City.
